In September Mr. D sent us a pacemaker for the students to see and offered to answer any questions they might have about pacemakers and the electrical system of the heart. They were fascinated by the pacemaker and had many questions.
The exchange of e-mail continued and in early December Mr. D visited Delmar and met his on-line students. While at school he spent recess time with our KIDLINK students, answered questions, posed for photographs, signed autographs (he was totally surprised at this!), was called "the President" and talked to 5th and 6th grade science classes about the heart. In the photo to the left Mr. D and Danielle are doing together the domino activity that he sent to the students to demonstrate how the electrical system of the heart works. We will remember this day for a long time. Thank you, Mr. D!
