Checking a Pacemaker's Battery

Dear Mr. Delos,

I didn't know you checked a pacemaker's battery like that. I can't believe we really got to talk to you. Thanks for doing that for us. How long does it take to make a pacemaker? Do you like making them? I didn't even know what a pacemaker was until Mrs. Weeg showed us the one you sent her. Well, thanks again.

Your Key Pal,
Heather

Dear Mr. Delos,

Hi!! How are you? I'm glad that you are doing bettter. The first person who said hello was me. It was Ashleigh not Ashley. That was cool how that machine checked Mrs. Weeg's battery. Well, actually the nurse checked off the machine. Right? How do the nurses and doctors know how to check the heart beats and stuff ? I think that it is coool that some famous people have pacemakers too. I think Mrs. Weeg is one of those famous people because she is really nice. I think that is what makes someone really famous. Well, I have to go I have to answer some money project questions.

Sincerely,
Ashleigh
PS - Please write back

Dear Mr. D,

Hi!!!!!!! I heard you are feeling better. That's good. I just spoke to you on the phone. I couldn't believe I was talking to you! I thought the machine was going to be bigger. By the way, (I'm not being mean) but you have a very low voice from what I heard over the phone. Now that I saw the machine that Mrs. Weeg uses, I have some more questions.

  1. How do those rings determine if her battery is good or not?
  2. How does that magnet go through her skin to the Pacemaker?
  3. Does the phone have to be a certain phone to check her battery?
  4. How does the machine know to send the signals to where your end of the phone.

Your Keypal,
Kim

Dear Mr.D,

This is me Danielle! You heard me on the phone. When we heard Mrs. Weeg's heart beat, what made that double beating sound? Why did it make that sound? What is the machine that makes sure that Mrs. Weeg's pacemaker is working okay?

Your friend,
Danielle

Dear Mr. D,

I heard that you were sick. I'm really glad you're feeling better. By the way you might never heard of me. That's because this is the first time that I have sent a letter to anyone at Kidlink. I just moved from St. Pete, Florida on February 27, 1996. I really miss my friends back in Florida. Oh well I'm sure I'll meet some terrific people here.

My name is Hanvi but you can call me Vi (v) if you like. After all that is what my parents call me. I am Vietnamese. However I was born in Florida.

I heard that you live in Florida too. what a coincidence.

Your friend,
Hanvi

Dear Mr. D...,

Your friend,
Kaley
