I just want to take a minute to say to all of you how much I enjoyed my day at Delmar Elementary. It was so great watching the day unfold, meeting my KeyPals from KIDLINK, pretending to be a cafeteria monitor and *helping* Mrs. Weeg with the little ones. I cannot express enough to you, how your warmth took the chill off that cool December day.
Thank you, Mrs. Purnell, for allowing me to drop by for my little visit. And, especially, thank you for the surprise of having me address the "cafeteria crowd," not once, but twice! It was, truly, a pleasure meeting you.
To the fifth and sixth grade science classes: Thanks for staying awake and asking such good questions! I hope I wasn't too boring. I would especially like to thank both science teachers for allowing me to disrupt their classes. It was really an honor to share my interests with the students.
Finally, to Mrs. Weeg, thank you so much for all you have done for me. Linking me with the KIDLINK kids has brightened my days, while it has filled my evenings with questions and answers. I have learned as much as you. Your kids seem like *my* kids, now. I hope you don't mind sharing. I believe your work, using the technology and resources of the Internet, has opened limitless doors for these children. If there is anything I can do to help keep those doors open, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks again, to all of you. I hope your holidays are filled with joy and happiness. You have certainly filled mine with those gifts and so much more. Good bye, good holidays and happy New Year!
Your KeyPal Forever,
Mr. D. Johnson
