World Wide F.A.X Project '95

With Our Friends at Rinkan Elementary School

in Mr. Isamu Shimazaki's Class

Second grade teacher at Rinkan Elementary School, Mr. Isamu Shimazaki, extended an invitation for my second grade students at Delmar to participate in his World Wide F.A.X project. Of course we are delighted to join his students in an international exchange of e-mail and drawings. As Mr. Shimazaki tells us, F.A.X stands for, "Friendships Are eXciting." In his first FAX project he did not use the Web and drawings were sent by fax machines. Now we can use the WWW.

Several second grade students come to my lab every day and these are the children who are participating. We wrote letters to our new friends in Japan and they drew beautiful pictures for us!
