It makes us think about what friends do for each other. Friends are friends no matter where you live. Here is what the Delmar children wrote about the story.
Warm hugs, Toad was sad because he does't ever get any mail. Frog sat with his friend on the porch and felt sad with his friend.
Jonathan Toad was sad because he never got any mail in his mailbox. A friend is a person that plays with you. A friend makes you feel better. Josh is my best friend because he plays with me and plays baseball with me some times Thomas Toad was sad because he never got any mail. Josh Frog sent a letter to Toad so that he would be happy when it was time for the mailman to come.

you are sad. Markis is my best friend because he doesn't fight like PJ. Will
you be my friends in Japan? I will write you letters but I am going to move
in four days. Can you send me your school address?
