Selecting Students

Patti manages a Title 1 computer lab and takes six students at a time into the lab for 30 minute lessons a day. She chooses one of the groups of six as the target group for the online writing program. The six students for the 1999-2000 project were in second grade. Last year and this year the students in the project are in third grade. All of the students are Title 1 and need lots of encouragement and support as they write. Students receive an Acceptable Use Policy for using the Internet which is signed by their parents. Permission (or not) for pictures on the WWW is included in the form.
