Manjar Branco (coconut pudding)

    Ingredients
    • 2 jars of coconut milk (200 mL each)
    • 3 cups of milk
    • 5 level tablespoons of corn starch
    • sugar to taste (approximately 1 cup)
    • Prunes
Boil the prunes in water. Discard the water and add new, with cinnamon, clove and sugar. Boil it until it thickens.

Set a side (reserve) some of the milk to dissolve the cornstarch. Add sugar to the milk, add the reserved milk and cook it until it thickens and pulls away from the pan.

Place the milk in a tube pan (ring) and put it into the refrigerator overnight. Invert onto a rimmed plate and put the prune "sauce" on top. Serve.

This dish is eaten as a dessert.
