Bob Bear Goes to Australia!

Hello - my name is Bob Bear. I belong to Mrs. Tardiff's Kindergarten classes at Delmar Elementary School. We have a morning class and an afternoon class. I have 14 friends in the morning class and 15 friends in the afternoon class. Most of the children are 5 years old but a few are 6 and some are still 4. My friends are boys and girls.

Delmar Elementary School is in Delmar. Our town of Delmar is very special - part of our town is in the state of Maryland and part is in the state of Delaware. Our school is in Delmar, Maryland. I have brought a map with me that shows Delmar, Maryland.

Our school mascot is the Bobcat. That's why I have a Bobcat on my sweatshirt. And that is how I got my name, Bob.

I'm going to Ravenswood School for Girls. It is in Sydney, Australia. The teacher is Mrs. Eleanor Gregory. She teaches Year 2. She has 25 girls who are 7 years old, turning 8 in June 2003.

Bob is packed and ready to go!

Goodbye, Bob! We'll miss you.

Mrs. Tardiff mailed Bob Bear to Australia on Friday, October 18, 2002. Her class is waiting eagerly for the arrival of Matilda Bear from Mrs. Gregory's class in Australia.
