Kidlink Newsletter

Kidlink's Newsletter is organigized and maintained by a 14 year old student in Lima, Perú - Daniel Basilio Romero. Danny is a student at Gertrude Hanks Villas school in Perú. I recently asked Danny some questions about the newsletter:

1. What is your main reason for making a Kidlink newsletter?

The main of why I make the Kidlink Newsletter is in order to let all kidlinkers know that we *kids* can make a good Job. I like to show that not only adults can be responsible. My whole team are v. v. v. responsible people and we all like to work. We want everyone to know what's going on with Kidlink, and we want them to have fun while reading :-)

2. How do you manage to accomplish this and still do all the assignments you must do as a student in school?

Well, the fact is that actually I don't have only this 2 activities during my week. As some people in Kidlink know, I not only work for Kidlink and study for School. I also work with people away from Peru in the web designing Business. I give Kidlink 4-5 hours a day, each and every day of the year. I am actually trying to make the Kidlink Newsletter work smoothly and later I have a project for KidArt :-) About my School assignments, well, in my school we don't have much homework, because we have a different way of studying. We work v. hard during the 8 hours at school we spend and then we don't have homework. I get back home at 3pm (my time) and start working for Kidlink. then I go at 7 or 8 pm.. :-) So, schools assignments aren't a trouble for this :-)

3. Who helps you?

I am being helped by wonderful people who work in the Kidlink Newsletter. They are very talented when doing their articles. Most of my partners in the Kidlink Newsletter team are only 10 - 14 and they work in a very proffessional way. I like the way they work and they like the way I work as well.. We all have learnt what 'group work' is :-) We keep in touch by the Kidlink Newsletter Mailing list and we try to have each issue as soon as it's possible, so all Kidlinkers can know about Kidlink News! :-)
