By the time you are reading this, I will be on an airplane enroute to North Rim, Arizona. I wonder how it got that name? Mrs. Weeg will be expecting me to phone in with a report and an agenda on Monday or Tuesday. I will try not to disappoint her.
I know there are some voice files with questions that I have not gotten around to answering. O.K. take five points off my grade for being tardy. I will try to get them answered soon.
I plan to take some pictures and send them to you all to see. It will take a few days to get the photos back since I do not have a neat little digital camera like Mrs. Weegs'. I hope my pictures come out pretty for you.
Now, here's some homework for you to do while I am gone. Answer these questions and I'll take a look when I get back.

1. Use the atlas in your media center or telnet to the Geographic Server to find the global address (latitude and longitude) for each city where I am going.
telnet to: martini.eecs.umich.edu 3000
Mrs. Weeg will show you how to do this on your computer. Mark each city on your map of the USA.
2. Tell me what time it will be in Delmar when I arrive in Salt Lake City, Utah and finally at the North Rim in Arizona. Be careful! See my notes.
3. How many hours will I be in an airplane? (I do not get off the plane in Dallas). Ashley and Heather can figure out about how many heartbeats I will have while in flight using the average per hour they figured out last week. Do you think takeoff and landing have an effect on heart rates? Ask Mrs. Weeg - she doesn't really love to fly!
4. Go to the Weather WWW pages and make a chart of the temperatures, wind, humidity and barometric pressure for Monday through Thursday of this week in the Grand Canyon. Then graph your data. Is the temperature the same in all parts of the Grand Canyon?
5. What Indian Reservations are near located in the northern part of Arizona? Find some interesting WWW sites that tell us about them and add them to our WWW pages.
I know that this seems like a lot of work, but I think you can do it.
Your Key Pal in Sunny (rainy) South Florida,
Mr. D
