Lesson Four: Objectives:
- Students will create maps demonstrating population distributions for all three islands.
- Students will compile "dictionaries" of words and phrases unique to each island which pose comprehension problems for visitors.
- Students will determine (and identify distribution where possible) the ethnic diversity of each island including language, food, dress, festivals and celebrations.
- Students will complete literature matrix for required readings.
- Students will prepare final visual and oral presentations.
- Students attending the Waimalu March/April tour of Ireland and Great Britain will prepare their visuals and travel journals for presentation.
- Students will create links to this web site to share their discoveries.
