Letters From Mrs. Elder's Class

and Olya's reply

Dear Olya,

Hi! My students have written some more letters for you. Thanks so much for writing to them. It's fun to be able to talk with someone from another country. They have really learned a lot from you. Yes, we did find Ekaterinburg on our map. One question from me: Is the Russian flag three stripes of white, blue and red? Enjoy the letters. We'll be looking forward to hearing from you.

Warm hugs,
Linda Elder

Dear Olya,

I would like to say thank you for writing back to us. It snowed on Mrs. Weeg's computer. I hope you have a great report card. I want you to come to our East Salisbury School. My mom said Hi. I like you. Thank you for writing.

Dear Olya,

I would like to ask you some questions, Olya. Do you like to ice skate in Russia? I would like to go ice skating some day. I heard you eat at home. I eat at home, too. Are you a ballerina? I showed my mom the letter you gave us. I read a book about Russia. I learn a lot about Russia. What kind of music do you listen to? Do you celebrate Easter in Russia?

Your penpal,
Roger Cougle

Dear Olya,

I am nice and pretty and I like you for a friend. Do you want me to write you back? I like your letter. I told you I like grape gum and it tastes good when you eat grape gum. My mom bought me some gum and I opened it and I ate one at home. Do you like grape gum? Yes or no? Do you skate all day long for your mom or dad? Do you like to skate on ice or not?

Penny

Dear Olya,

Do you have Goosebumps books in Russia? I don't read Goosebumps books but my sister does and some of my friends do. I don't like to read any kinds of books. Do you like to read? What kind of books do you like?

Amos

Dear Mrs. Elder and kids,

I like to write letters to my pen pals. But sometimes I just can't. Sorry that I haven't write to you earlier.

Well, my full name is Olga Sergeyevna Malykh. I think Russian middle names is hard to reading for American people.

I like to read romance, detective stories and books about kids in my age who live in another countries. But I don't reading very often because I have some occupations which is most interesting for me.

I like all kinds of bubble gum and grape too.

Yes, stripes at the Russian flag is white, blue and red and it disposed horisontal.

"Hallo" in Russian is [zdrastvuy]. And "hi" is [privet].

Tomorrow is an Easter and my brother's birthday. He'll be nine. I made some cakes and kuliches today. Do you cooking kulichs too? What special food and customs do you have at Easter? Please, tell me something about it.

Well, I must to go,

Best wishes,
Olya
