Where is Santa? We used coordinate points to find Santa and his reindeer on a large grid. After we located him we realized that he had come to visit us and left a gift under our Christmas tree. It was six months until Christmas. We read a winter story and sequenced all the events. We played a listening game with The Night Before Christmas and, of course, we had to write letters to Santa.

After reading, Look at Us we followed the directions in the book
to make paper plate puppets. We wrote a play that included all of our characters.
Mrs, Swain also made puppets that go with a play called The King With The
Terrible Temper. We had to be good actors and actresses.
