Our Friend Robert

In Willow Class

Robert lives in the United Kingdom and attends The Cedars Primary School in Hounslow which is our twinned school. His class is called 'Willow Class' and Mrs. Shaner's 4th grade class at Delmar wrote many letters to the students in Willow Class and sent them a Thanksgiving play in November.

Ms. Sharon Gray, the Willow Class teacher, helped all the children in her class make a booklet of their letters to and from their friends in Maryland. Robert is proudly showing his booklet and letter from Whitney back in Delmar.

On the door of the classroom Ms. Gray also made a display of the letters sent from Maryland. At the top of the door you can see, if you look closely, a picture of a witch that Peggy made for her keypal in Willow Class. Peggy is blind and her witch is raised (Elmer's Glue) so that the children can feel the outline of the witch. Peggy colored her witch too. There is also a Braille letter on the door near the top of the display. Both classes sent many letters and items through the regular post. Coins from both countries arrived in very special letters.

was  a  Power  Ranger. was  the Pink.me  and my Brother got

     My name is Garry I am nine year old.I like to draw at
home and in shcool. I like to draw picture of Dinosaurs.What
do you like to draw.
