Do You Recycle in Russia?

a question from Ashleigh

Dear Ashleigh,

We have rubbish chutes in some buildings. Every morning yard-keeper remove the garbage from rubbish cans to garbage-bins. People who haven't rubbish chutes put trash right in the garbage bin. And one or two days in week a special car remove the waste to the special place, the dump.

I don't understand how I can recycle, reuse or reduce something. What kind of "product" could it be? I don't know is our gas unleaded or not, all citizens have just one kind of gas here and I think it's not unleaded.

The question N8 is fun for me because Russian students don't go to the school by car or bike. All of them usually walking to school but sometimses, if they live far from school they use a tram or bus. Of course, I want to help my planet but I don't know any real ways for me.

Best wishes,
