Sleep Over

by Nicole Layton

Sleep over

One night I stayed over, in a cold frozen place.
When I woke up, with much disgrace,
there wasn't a sound anywhere around...
As hours drilled on it wasn't bright
and I tried to remember
the colors of light....

Finalhy after months of searching
the sun would come up from where it was lurking.
Bringing the summer season too soon.
I almost wished it was the moon.
But, the sun gave me warmth and it gave me fun.
When darkness comes I always will know,
it's just a sign of the soon coming
snow...

So if you wake up in a cold frozen place ...
please don't be in much disgrace... cause the sun
is mysterious and it will be back ....and you will
see what it can't lack !!
