Hi Ashley,
I am doing fine, and enjoyed my visit to the school. The whole family watched both news shows, and so did a lot of other people in the area. I have had a lot of comments about being on TV. I am going back to Antarctica in a few days, and I will continue to write as long as the kids continue. Next time you write, include your last name, as there are quite a few kids named Ashley in your school.
Thanks for writing,
Dave
I am glad you enjoyed my visit, and I enjoyed visiting your school. I thought it was neat that we got to be on TV, and a lot of people commented to me about being on TV. I even had strangers ask me if I was on TV. I leave in a few days to go back to Antarctica, and this time it will be a very long trip. I hope you and your friends continue to write, and do not forget to tell me what is happening on Delmarva. Even the little things like the first flower you see blooming in the Spring would be interesting to me.
Thanks for writing,
Dave
I appreciate the thanks, and thanks to you also for being part of the project. If it were not for the letters from the kids at Delmar, the project would not exist. If there is anything you are wanting to know about Antarctica, drop me a note. I may not be able to answer, but I will try.
Thanks for writing,
Dave

Hi Ashley, I am glad you enjoyed my visit, and I enjoyed it too. I watched both TV news shows, but I did not tape them. I probably should have taped the shows, but I did not think of it. I will visit your school again next fall when I get back from my next trip. About the time I arrive back on the ice, there will be a teacher and children's book author, Sandy Markle, visiting McMurdo. I read about her from a web page. I am going to try to find her, so I can tell her about what we are doing.
Thanks for writing,
Dave
I enjoyed my visit to Delmar, and thank you for being part of the project. If it were not for you and the other kids, I would not have had the opportunity to visit. I think the Antarctic fish are neat also, especially when you consider the salt water temperature there is below freezing. I hope I get to see some penguins and whales. If I see any, it will probably be in the next few months, when the ice is broken. I will let you all know the first time I see some penguins.
Thanks for writing,
Dave
