Mariam, who lives in Cairo, told the KIDCLUB kids one Saturday during the Writers' Corner IRC that there had been a thunderstorm with lightning in Cairo. This was a new experience for her and it was frightening. In fact.. sadly...the lightning killed over 300 people when it hit a fuel tank. The KIDCLUB kids wove a story around this event and here is the picture Meike drew to accompany that story - The Storm on the Nile.
