Dear Heather,
We live in Bukit Indah, in Lhok Sukon, in Sumatra, in Indonesia. It's kind of like an overseas army base, built for families, or an oversized country club. But once you step outside the complex, there are cows, rice paddies, water buffalos, chickens, goats, palm leaf huts, huge baskets carried on ladies' heads and little boys jumping into muddy rivers. In Lhokseumawe they have open sewers and it kind of smells bad. Lhokseumawe is the nearest city. Whenever you want to buy good clothes or food or appliances or whatever or see the orthodontist, you have to take the plane to Medan, then the plane to Singapore.
Ashley just said bye. She's going off to language arts. She doesn't want to, but I guess it's imperative. It's a pain anyway. I guess I'll wrap this up. Bukit Indah is okay, as long as you don't like cities.
Bye,
Karen and Ashley
P.S. Who's Nick Point?
