Adding Names to Your Address Book

  1. Open Netscape Mail then go to "Window."
  2. Click on "address book."
  3. Click on "item."
  4. Click on "add user."
  5. Give a 'nickname' for someone you send mail to. This can be a classmate with you now or any of your mentors.
  6. Then type their full name.
  7. Lastly type their complete e-mail address.
  8. Add several people to your address book.
  9. While in the address book listing you can double click on a name and up will pop a new mail message window.
  10. If you need to edit an entry, highlight the entry then go to "properties" under "Item."
  11. Begin a new Netscape mail message and in the "To:" field type only the nickname you gave someone in your address book. Watch the name and e-mail address appear automatically.
